It looks like a DNS issue. As long as I am using the browser tab that already has backshed running, it navigates ok. If I bring up a new tab and try to go to backshed it switches. |

Was a DNS issue. I was connected to a wireless connection with DHCP. I switched to manual settings and put in my ISPs DNS server and all is working correctly. Unless I am visiting a new location and don't know any IP info, I will always use manual IP addresses. |

I have found numerous links that don't work in old threads etc. Change to https: in lieu of http: and they work. https://www.thebackshed.com/forum/ViewForum.php?FID=16/ F4 H7FotSF4xGT |

hitsware2, I don't understand your question. Never heard of that site before. I was pointing out if I use my providers DNS servers (nationwide cable internet provider), I can get to thebackshed with just "thebackshed.com". I cannot reach thebackshed.com with whatever DNS was being used by the wifi connection DNS address that picked it up using DHCP. In this case it might have been a good idea if I had checked to see what was the IP address for the DNS that the DHCP picked up that was giving me the wrong IP address to that other site. This looks like a simple problem with overlapping/incorrect DNS entries at some DNS server. I don't ever need to put http, https or www on URLs and always get to the right place if I just use my providers DNS servers. |
