I've been busy adding LED floodlights to the Harrier in my brothers pub.

This started out as a micro-PLC project, but I ended up cheating and just running it using the LED lights app on an old Android phone. But I thought some of you might be interested, as I promised an update some months ago.

The lesson I learned here - is that you can never have too many floodlights. We have about twenty 80W LED lights. They're running at about 25% brightness, as full power is too bright/harsh. But because of all of the shadows (under the wings mainly) more lights at less power looks a lot better than less lights at more power.

Wow.....   I like!  :)
I agree, lighting an area is best done by increasing the number of lights. Too few lights and you get more of the shadows that you were trying to get rid of, just in different places (if you are lucky).

And where in Canada is your brothers Pub Pete?

We took the family over last year (my wifes Canadian) visiting friends & family in Toronto, Midland, Vancouver and Nanaimo on the Island. We saw 'Goats on the Roof' but no 'Harriers in the Garden' I'm afraid :-)

Regards,

Thanks all. It's in Sylvan Lake, Alberta. If any of you do make it there, be sure to let me know in advance and I'll come up to meet you (and buy the beers). I live about an hour away.

We have already had one Shedder visit, but out of respect for their privacy I won't name names (unless they want to fess up themselves   ).

While I was up there I also ended up mounting a bunch of new TV's that I'd bought on prime day. Including two 98" beasts (for the Hockey matches). That was a bit hairy. I don't recommend standing precariously on a bar top while trying to balance 75Kg of TV. But we got her done.

The staff are "normal" sized. The telly's are really just that huge!
