... and behind every loud fan is a battery-eating heat source  

but i do like the form-factor. with that size of screen displaying 80x24 text and a low-powered pic32 running mmbasic it would make a nice little general-purpose instrument controller. perhaps even throw in a RP2350 to act as a dedicated LCD screen driver.
