Hello, When I started my CMM2 adventure I found the web page: cmm2.fun and use it ever since as a source for cmm2 code and to release my programs. Even though registering new projects is still possible, other features seem to be broken, like changing registered projects or voting. From some comment in this forum I concluded that this page is not widely known. What do you think? Best Regards Matthias |

Unfortunately @jirsoft the maintainer of https://cmm2.fun appears to have dropped out of our community 12+ months ago. I think @PeteCotton was looking at hosting some sort of alternative but if anything came of it then I missed it. Yes - one of my only gripes (and it is very minor) with the CMM2 is that you still need an external computer to download files on to the SD card etc. Not a problem for most of us - but if it's truly going to be a standalone computer - then we need some method of distributing software machine to machine. I bought a bunch of ESP-01 chips that plug directly into the COM 2 header on the CMM2 motherboard. These chips are about $3 each and provide WiFi. My hope is to use them to build an internet network where we can easily upload and download CMM2 games. i.e. Here's the latest copy of my code, go on the network and download program "12776". If you notice from my projects though - I always do lots of work at Christmas and fall silent for the rest f the year. This is the cycle of the self employed programmer. I'm busy January to November - and then December is usually quiet while people finish up budgets.So, I'm hoping to revisit it next month! |

Hello Pete, great idea. This reminds me of my Atari MegaSTE days when I used the German MausNet via various mailboxes. It would be a great idea if you could access Basic programs, images, and texts via the web that are compatible with the respective system (CMM2, PicoMite, etc.). If you stored the data in a domain, you would “only” need to write the appropriate front end to access it. |

I agree. To be useful, you would have to be able to download all assets, sub files/folders etc. required by a program. Maybe also even do a simple update check, where you can keep your local version up to date. I did also think about implementing a shared file, where everyone could write back high scores etc. But it would be too open to abuse (given that BASIC programs are unlocked/editable). |

FotS CMM2 page. Hello, Thanks for the link. Unfortunately the link to github has no good representation. Would you mind changing the link to https://github.com/grimm-git/airrescue/wiki? I created a front page in the github wiki and cross-referenced all my games. So it is much easier to get to the important information. Each game has the same front page, so you can now jump back and forth between the games and it doesn't matter with which game you start. Thanks and Cheers Matthias |
