Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

The usual recommendation is to do a clean install and then reinstall your applications.

I decided to try an in-place upgrade.

I do have a working bookworm safely stored away "just in case"

I followed the instructions here:
https://forums.raspberrypi.com/viewtopic.php?t=392376

I don't use a monitor on my RPi's and my usual tigerVNC from the main PC was used.
The only programs of interest in the experiment were MMEdit and PureBasic which I use  to compile MMEdit.

Everything still works!

Next I will try compiling a new version of MMEdit on the trixie image and check that it still works.

If successful and anyone is interested, I may offer MMEdit for RPi.

Bloody good work Jim.

Seeing you playing in MMEdit ATM, may I present a fault that perhaps has not been noticed, I been holding back on some time.

I guess I need to ensure you know my exact use of MMedit I think is 5.3.4 as latest I know of. Incidently RP2040 W's and one RP2350A is what I use your whole package with, which is highly successful, forgive the pun! Its just awsome.

So I'll try to explain the issue, forgive me if poorly put in here.

Specific sinaro,
1. Highlight a line of text, Irrespective of method to highlight.
2. Just paste this on next line down. Simples. I think the line was empty pasted to, already made using return.
3. Now, the problem. If one goes to edit the pasted line, spcific its beginning AND touch 'backspace', WOOPs, the above copied from line vanashes! Its very subtle, almost unnoticeable.

Its very hard to duplicate this weared problem, but its caught me out many times AND I may not have explained it correctly. Perhaps put this sinaro to test, see if it can be duplicated.

Kind regards. Supertech, the OZ down up under.

Hi Jim,

I would love to see MMEdit for the RPi, since I use it quite often!

I got a rpi 400 that used twister os but the keyboard started to print 3 for several keys and when I searched it was mentioned several times that it was a keyboard fault so didn't use it for over a year. Then a post that trixie was released so tried it, not having used bullseye and the keyboard works.
I thought of using mmedit and mmcc with rpi 400 but linux is new to me so thought wine was needed or pi app "run win 11 apps" so thought just use existing mmedit on win.
I'm interested in this so will follow.
