Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

matherp said  Energy requirements per token are also falling. Just installed a RTX 4000 Ada SFF in my computer. 70W maximum, no extra power required and faster than my previous A4000 which required 140W. Competition is coming for Nvidia from AMD and Intel and watts per token will be a major selling factor.

Unfortunately, the forum does not seem to facilitate replies to be written in green ink of envy!  That is a fabulous (and expensive) piece of kit that you have treated yourself too! (Well deserved, of course.)  From an aspect of pure fascination and inquisitiveness, may I enquire what machine is hosting this "card" and, perhaps, what is your intention for it?

I'm afraid that I find PC card numbers remarkably unimpressive, possibly because my PCs have rarely been fitted with anything that you could call remarkable. :)

The machine is a Minisforum MS-02 Ultra. This replaces my Dell as my main development machine. I wanted something easily portable that wasn't a laptop. Processor is a Core 9 Ultra 275HX and it currently has 16GB Ram, but will be upgraded to 96GB. Intended to be my "last" computer capable of anything I could conceivable need. I don't game.

I've had a couple of "last" computers over the years. :)  The last "last" one has now ended up as my wife's because she plays more games than I do (it can't really be classed as a gaming machine though, way too under-powered).
