Yes Pascal, I have 2, and they run MMBasic. Load the RP2040 non VGA version on at, open terminal, and OPTION RESET RP2040-GEEK Then you are set. Make sure you have the RP2040 version. A possible ESP32 version does not run MMBasic. Volhout Edited 2026-01-21 06:42 by Volhout PicomiteVGA PETSCII ROBOTS |

@Pascal, MMBasic 6.01.00 (from Geoff site) runs on it. Peters later 6.02.00 probably also, but I have not tested the latest rc (rc8). Volhout PicomiteVGA PETSCII ROBOTS |

Load the standard 2040 firmware then OPTION RESET RP2040-GEEK Latest beta run fine. Edit: It is nothing to do with the ESP32 chipsets Jim Edited 2026-01-21 07:19 by TassyJim VK7JH MMedit |

Pascal, It is a neat device, but has limited GPIO. You have GP2,3,4,5 And there is GP27,28 (but not GP26) So total 6 GPIO pins. Nice and small, good for small projects. I always carry it with me on travel. Here is a version of LIFE for the small display on the geek. Not my work. life2.zip Volhout Edited 2026-01-21 07:31 by Volhout PicomiteVGA PETSCII ROBOTS |

There are several versions of the GEEK in circulation. RP2040-GEEK with an RP2040, 4MB of flash memory, an SD card slot, a 1.14-inch LCD with 135x240 pixels, and GP2, GP3, GP4, GP5, GP28, GP29, GND, 3V3 and connectors. RP2350-GEEK with an RP2350A with 16MB of flash memory, an SD card slot, a 1.14-inch LCD with 135x240 pixels, and GP2, GP3, GP4, GP5, GP28, GP29, GND, 3V3 and connectors. ESP32-S3-GEEK with an ESP32-S3, 16MB of flash memory, an SD card slot, and a 1.14-inch LCD with 135x240 pixels and GP6, GP13, GP14, TX43, RX44, SDA16, SCL17 and connectors. PicoMite Basic works for me on the RP2040-GEEK, and Annex32 Basic ESP32-S3 works for the ESP32-S3-GEEK. Kind regards, Jan. |
