Hi, I took the liberty of expanding on PilotPirx's version for PicoCalc a bit. The settings are now saved in an INI file, which is created automatically if it does not already exist. The INI file is a simple text file that can also be edited manually if necessary. ![]() You can now use the 'D' key to switch to daylight saving time, and the local sidereal time is now also displayed. In addition, a music file can be played in the background, which can also be turned off with 'M'. You can also quickly enter different coordinates without having to save them in the INI file with 'S'. What I don't like yet, or rather, what I haven't implemented yet: - The old settings are not retained in the Settings menu if nothing is entered. This means that all settings (including the coordinates) must be re-entered each time. - Even if you do not want to play a music file, you MUST specify a valid music file. I've attached the music file in both MP3 and WAV formats. I've installed a Pico2 in my PicoCalc, so it can play MP3s. The standard PicoCalc should be able to play the WAV file, though I haven't tried it yet. ObjectFinder.zip Frank (If anyone has already downloaded the file, please download it again—there was still an error in the BAS...) Edited 2026-04-09 00:00 by Frank N. Furter |
