Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hi,

Was experimenting with some code trying to speed it up. from the old trs-80 days one trick I remember when setting a variable to 0 if the . was used it was slightly quicker.
anyway so i thought it may work with the maximite, I tried typing at the command line "? ." (without the quotes) and I ended up with the machine locked up and a screen full of zeros.

Another thing to look at with the firmware or at least to be wary of.

I've just tried to replicate the ? . from Gadget.
Yep... A screen full of 0, and it just keeps scrolling. Ctrl C does nothing!
Interesting.

Its easier to ask forgiveness than to seek permission!
