Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.
Does anyone know whether the speeds on the I/O pins on the PIC32 are sufficiently fast to allow 2 PIC32's to be wired up in a multi-processor arrangement?
The background to this is that when I was working on a project with the MM I hit the code length limit and needed to hive of a number of features into seperete utilities. Most of the code was around subroutines for displaying data and menu. It got me wondering whether a 2 PIC MM might be possible with one dedicated to the display (a GPU of sorts) and the other for the main code base. The main PIC could them 'make calls' to the other via some sort of interupt request and using the I/O's as a data bus.
No idea if its practical(?) but would really like to know if its possible and what are some of the issue to consider?
Oops. Sorry folks. Just started looking back through some older posts and saw someone had asked the same question. Not sure how to delete it.Edited by mattma 2013-03-16
