With the use of line number support possably leaving, would the TRON command still be usefull...?

TRON/TROFF still work even if you are not using line numbers. Now the number listed is the number of the line as counted from the beginning of the file.

But I agree that they are not used much and the description of TRON could be clearer.

I'm prehistoric, yes I still use line numbers. I'm sure I will eventually evolve....
But you can still use the AUTO cmd; and, then jump into the EDITOR; or, as I do ....
just enter the numbers as you go...

Are the TRON and TROFF still useful?
You bet!

...and in some ways there is something very quaint about having line numbers. It can take you back to "yesteryear". I now go looking for BASIC programs with line numbers from the late 70s and early 80s so that I can easily convert them into mmbasic. The only problem is I have had to slow down some of the programs because the MM is so fast!
