Guys I am using a LM317 To go from 11 volts to 3 volts Runs hot. Do they make small switch mode regs ? One guy suggested mobile phone charger to get from 12 down to 5 then go 3 volts Andrew Andrew Rich VK4TEC www.tech-software.net |

Could be worth a look at the schematics on the Olimex site. They use all manner of chips & voltages. All open hardware. John |

The LM1117-N is a series of low dropout voltage regulators with a dropout of 1.2V at 800mA of load current. The pin-out is similar to industry standard LM317. It is available in five fixed voltages 1.8V, 2.5V, 2.85V, 3.3V, and 5V. bga assembly |
