G'day as you aussies say... :-) I am looking to integrate a low cost wifi module into Wattmon and came across this one: http://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale?SearchText=usr-wifi232-g &catId=0&initiative_id=SB_20140618173348 It is basically a $20 USD wifi to ttl module and I though it may be of interest to the micromiters here that would like to work via remote vt100. Telnet is nothing other than vt100, so by setting up a tcp server on that module with transparent uart, it should be simple enough to make a network-reachable umite... Just a thought! akash |

Hi Akashh, Have you had any success in using this with a uMite or MaxiMite? I would love to be able to do this but of course the learning curve seem large. Prior to uMite, I was working with the Soldercore board which does exactly this. Soldercore I used telnet to access it and was programmable in corebasic which was really pretty good. The unit is not well supported though if you look at their forum. But this idea would be totally awesome if it can be implemented with uMite. Please keep us posted if you do use it. |
