Dave, You could buy them from DX.com's AUSTRALIAN warehouse. DX-AUS But I think they charge freight on top.. Regards, Mick Mick's uMite Stuff can be found >>> HERE (Kindly hosted by Dontronics) <<< |

Dave, Mick, I have been reading the EM408 is an obsolete part, and Sparkfun no longer carries it. Sparkfun Don't know what's going on but maybe the Dangerous thing is why. Geoff, anyone, Do you know of a replacement part, I was going to build at least one GPS Clock. Thanks, Lou Microcontrollers - the other white meat |

What's dangerous about it? Smoke makes things work. When the smoke gets out, it stops! |

The DX Aus actually ship from china, they do not have a warehouse in aus. Bill In the interests of the environment, this post has been constructed entirely from recycled electrons. |

Hi Bill, All, That statement surprised me. So I looked at their FAQs and you are 100% right. FAQ I got deluded by the name and assumed, wrongly, that they were AUS based.. They are much faster than the china post though. Sorry then, I cant help with your issue Dave. Mick Mick's uMite Stuff can be found >>> HERE (Kindly hosted by Dontronics) <<< |

On the subject of newbies. When do I graduate to the next level -- or dare possibly to think -- a future guru ? John B |

As I understand it, it is powers of two on most forums, therefore you advance one more level at: 1,2,4,8,16,32,64,128,256,512,1024,2048 etc... @ mick - your post count has returned to normal, although for a NEWBIE - you sure have plenty of posts! I think 50 posts gets you to be a Regular Member, 100 is a Senior Member and 300 is a guru. I could be wrong here. I tried looking them up but failed so this is from memory. |

Quite possibly - I was just guessing on the numbers, based on what many other forums do. Perhaps Glen will enlighten us all. ![]() Smoke makes things work. When the smoke gets out, it stops! |

Ranks... 40+ Regular Member 100+ Senior Member 300+ Guru Sometimes the database looses the members post count, which is what happened to Mick. When I hear about it, I run a script that recounts posts and updates the member count. It doesn't however update their rank, but this happens automatically next time they make a post. Just a word of thanks Glenn for all the time that you put into making this forum work. I am sure that little jobs like this add up to a lot of effort. Geoff Geoff Graham - http://geoffg.net |
