Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Since Peter has published a link to it in the KY-040 Rotary Encoder, it might be time to let everyone know about a reference site my 10 year old son and I have been creating.

mmreference.com

Firstly, it is not commercial, i'm not selling any thing.

Secondly, it is not intended to or ever will replace The Back Shed, there is no forum or discussion on the site. It is merely a read only reference site to all things Maximite, Micromite, and MMBasic. Discussion takes place on TBS, when the dust settles and a solution found, submit a solution

It came about after my son and I were trying to wire up sensors and modules to the Micromite. There are thousands of reference sites dedicated to Arduino and Raspberry Pi, PicAxe etc. only the Back Shed Forum for MMBasic. Some had been started years ago yet had shut down, and stale links.
I started a website and pasted in code snippets, bits and pieces - just for ourselves. After a discussion with one or two members on TBS in June, they though a reference site would benefit the wider community.

Geoff Graham has refined and enhanced a much loved language BASIC to be relevant now and capable and easy to teach and inspire the next generation.

f you would like to contribute to this reference site, please contact us and we will send you instructions, on the type of information we need to add to this reference library.

Would you like to be a regular contributor, content author, this site will benefit the wider community if many people help and contribute please contact us.

submit source code to the site
submit projects either half started or complete to the site
submit how to interface to a module, sensor, component

Where components, printed circuit boards, sensors or modules etc are discussed, I have attempted to link to sites where you may purchase modules, printed circuit boards, components, sensors. This is a starting point, You are also free to source parts from anywhere on the web. I have no commercial relationship with any site, and I am only doing this for reference. However that said, some of these people devote many hours designing, prototyping and creating documentation / modules, please support them.

This site is for reference only, this is not a commercial site, all linked sites are for informational purposes only.
The circuits, schematics, program source has been provided in good faith. Where possible the source of the software and the author has been identified and we have endeavored to seek the authors permission. although some of this source is in the public domain, and has been modified to suit MMBasic. If there is anything on this site that you feel shouldn’t be there please contact us.

regards

David

Great site! Please keep adding materials. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your software and hardware examples. I'll try to add some Micromite stuff soon as well.
