The page says "Source code license available". That to me implies that there is a cost in getting the source code. I wonder how much? I'll stick with my SP0-256 I got a long time ago at Radio Shack. Edited by micronut 2014-09-12

Hi,

did anybody remember S.A.M. (Software Automatic Mouth) on C64? I found two very interesting links on Letsmakerobots:

- S.A.M. C-Code
- Cantarino (Sketch for Arduino)

It looks very interesting to make your own speech-chip with this...

You could also try "Talkie" for the Auduino.

@ cosmic frog

Thanks for your hint - the speech quality is very impressive!

Unlikely is there no text to phonetics converter implemented - it looks very difficult to let Talkie say any "normal" text...

Thanks Pierre

I had talked to Lou about the SOMO II module before... If we can't find a good easy to use talking chipset, then this might be a good way to go... To bad you can't store "play lists" or groups of word or phrase files... The MM will have to do that I think... I have also did a little play time with some of 4-D's Display modules...
