How do the PCB factories actually do this? It is fundamental to all vias and most through-hole parts on double-sided board, but how do they actually get that through-hole plating in place in the actual hole? Smoke makes things work. When the smoke gets out, it stops! |

Real pcb factories deposit the copper onto the board, rather than etch copper away (as do amateurs) So the board is drilled first, then plated (plating resist placed where copper is not wanted) |

:) Other real pcb factories etch away most of the copper. You can see how eurocircuit does it here. Microblocks. Build with logic. |

Yeah, I've watched those vids a couple of times - professional plant-made PCB's are a-lot more complicated then I first thought. Smoke makes things work. When the smoke gets out, it stops! |
