Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hello:

I am new hear and hope you can answer some simple questions.

1) Does the micromite have the library calls to use an SD card?

2) If the MMedit is used does the internal micromite editor need to be used?

3) If i had the Microchip MPLAB-X 'C' compiler then would i get the same compiled
code as comes in a micromite reprogrammed chip?

Thanks for bring me up to speed.
cheers,

Welcome.

1. No the micromite does not have any code for talking to SD cards - Have you looked at the Maximite?

2. If you use MMEdit, there is no need for the inbuilt editor but I do use it for small changes to the code while testing. Reloading a long program for a simple change takes some time so it can be quicker to run the inbuilt editor.
With MMEdit, you can read the code back from the micromite into MMEdit.

3. Compiling the micromite source requires the expensive compiler, not the free one.
