Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

has anyone noticed this before:

> 9 edit
Micromite MMBasic Ver 4.6 Beta 1
Copyright 2011-2014 Geoff Graham

at the command prompt, typing a "line number" followed by certain commands causes a reboot. i've tried '9 edit' and '9 cpu'. '9 memory' doesn't reboot and does the same as 'memory'.

tested with 4.5C and 4.6 Beta 1

@RR

Thank you ! I've been looking for a way of causing a MMBasic reset in software and looks like you have found the way, although not quite as good as the h/w method.

@Geoff

could we please have an official way of causing a complete reset of MMBasic via the CLI, ie erase program, and all OPTION settings, eg CTRL+C, RESET CRLF ?

I'm asking for this capability because as part of my PIC32 programmer, I need to reset the uMite.

BTW, this is a very, very, very low priority request, there are far more important things to get done first.

Many thanks

Peter

the command "WATCHDOG 5" in your code (or at the command line) nicely does a reset, i've been using it to check that the startup message displays correctly with newly created micromites for quite a while.

@rr

Thanks for that tip, I'll file it away for future use.

Cheers

Give me a couple of days. I plan to release a beta version of it soon.

EDIT and it will also fix this bug (a good find BTW Rob).Edited by Geoffg 2014-10-27
