There are two small extra's in V3.5.11 There is an option to filter out those annoying 'smart' quotes that can get into you code when pasting from PDF's and MS Word documents. I have catered for the most common versions but if you find any others that need fixing, send me a copy of text with the culprit and I will add them to the list. The other addition is a new section to the 'Variable report'. It now lists lines of code that might get corrupted by the forum adding extra spaces. It can be used to check code before posting as well as checking code that has been copied form the forum. It is up to you to FIX the problem but this is an easy way to FIND the problems. I have also changed the contact details back to www.c-com.com.au as I have changed hosting services to a more reliable service. You can download the TKN file if you are running V3.5.10 http://www.c-com.com.au/stuff/MMedit.zip or the full program. http://www.c-com.com.au/MMedit.htm I have finally built the VT100 terminal and can confirm that MMEdit does NOT like talking to it. I tested a number of other terminal programs and many of them also had problems connecting. I will do some more investigating but for now, stick with TeraTerm. Jim VK7JH MMedit |

@TassyJim I have downloaded MMEdit v3.5.11 using the "full program" link and installed it replacing an older version (I didn't get rid of the older version first) and created a desktop icon. Now when I drop a .BAS file on the icon it says it cannot find MMedit.tkn although it is present in C:\Program Files (x86)\CCom\MMedit along with MMedit.exe. If I double click the icon, MMedit launches successfully and appears to have found what it needs because there is no "File Not Found: MMedit.TKM" warning. I am using an up-to-date version of Win7 PRO. Where should MMedit.tkn reside so it can find it? Cheers, Hugh |

I will have to have a close look at it. I have changed the version of Liberty Basic that I use to compile with so there must have been a change. We can't blame Microsoft (this time) because it still works on an old version of MMedit on the same PC. Hopefully, I can get around it because I don't want to go back to the old LB. MMedit.tkn is in the program folder and provided the shortcut runs normally and is set to start in the program folder, it should be able to find the file with command line arguments.
