Hi All, I just starting an ASCII Terminal build. But discover that the only 32 bit PIC micros that I have on hand are PIC32MX150F128B-50I/SP. Which "I think" I ordered in for building Micromite's (haven't got to that yet). Looking at the the ASCII Terminal documentation it calls for a PIC32MX250F128B-I/SP. Quick look at the data-sheets and one of the differences is USB OTG support (250 has 150 does not). Anyway can someone set me straight. Can I get away with my MX150F or (as I fear) must I order in some MX250F chips? Steve. |

I think I read that someone else had used the 150's for the VT100 - you just can't have any USB side of things, but it does work on the 150's from what I remember reading. Others here will confirm that..... Smoke makes things work. When the smoke gets out, it stops! |

Yes you can. I use the 150 and it works but without the USB. Dave. |

Thanks Dave and Grogster, Too close to Christmas now to get the MX250 so it's good to know that I can get away with the 150 over the break. I'm using it for a P112 CP/M machine via serial port. So won't miss the USB functionality in the short term. Merry Christmas All, Steve. |

Hi Mick, Thanks for the offer but we're all good. I'll use the MX150 over the Break and truly I only need the TTL serial for this particular application. I'll order in some MX250's in the New Year and upgrade just so that I've got complete functionality when I do want to use the USB side of things. Nowra, New South. BTW. Cheers Steve. |
