Welcome back Peter, I have been thinking of you recently.. I hope all is well. A lot has happened in the last few years. I still use the RS485 based PWT Emulator you wrote for me.. Finally that terminal is being replaced with a gigabit based Ethernet one. Drop me a line if you will.. Chat soon. I know you are not active in the Micromite community any more Peter, but damn.....it's good to see you post again after all this time. ![]() I am sure many members would love to know what you've been up to since you decided to move away from the Micromite..... If it makes it any easier, you are not alone. Your 'He who knows who he is' is the exact same one. And i know of at least two more, so our experience is not unique. It takes out all the fun working on something, sometimes for months and years. I have chosen to only develop for myself and share it with specific individuals, not in the open anymore. It happened to me about five times, one time on this forum. So it took me five times to realise how the 'open' world works. Continuing would be more self inflicting. Wish you the best and hope we both get less bitter about it. Microblocks. Build with logic. |

YES - totally 1,000,000% agree; FANTASTIC to see you here (Hope you're not too snowed in 'up there' today!) Stay safe . . . WW |

Thanks for all the kind words. @BigMik - Thank you, I miss you you too ! I hope all is well with you and yours, and that you had a great Christmas. @WW - we are indeed snowed in up here, 24 inches of snow. But IMHO the world is a lovely place for it. The snow makes it so quiet, so peaceful, so beautiful, the snow hides the ugliness, the mess, and stops the traffic @grogster - I really, really, still miss the comrade/brother/sister-ship of the Backshed, and often think about re-engaging, but .... Maybe one day, time can be a great healer. @MicroBlocks - you understand completely! I share your pain. It is the sleight that hurts so much, and despite 20 years has passed, it still hurts today when I think about it (which I try to not think about). I don't know why I thought about this stuff last night - perhaps the snow, and the isolation eliminates the noise of everyday life - but I miss you all. Peter The only Konstant is Change |

Peter, A few words from a retiree down under - I haven't yet got around to playing with your Cfunctions but I have nothing but the greatest admiration for your contributions. I too am enjoying the peace and serenity of my retirement here in country Australia but find the Backshed a wonderful and challenging link to fellow enthusiasts. I hope you find the enjoyment of interraction with fellow travellers sufficient to lure you back ☺ - we miss you. All the very best and hope to see you regularly, Regards, Doug. ... almost all of the Maximites, the MicromMites, the MM Extremes, the ArmMites, the PicoMite and loving it! |
