It would be nice to have the capacitive touch feature working in an MMBASIC environment (hint, hint ![]() |

True ;) But the actual armmite is only for the old stm32f407 ![]() Day my boss let me some time for me i will look to convert the original mmbasic (not micromite) to st429 and st7xx. The thing is not really difficult to do , it just need some time (What i don't have ![]() And now with the new stm32 system workbench that is 100% compatible with st429 and st7xx you can finally trash cocoox ;) and work with a real tool ![]() cheers. Darth. Theory is when we know everything but nothing work ... Practice is when everything work but no one know why ;) |

It has an Arduino UNO header on board which I assume brings out otherwise non-allocated pins. I've got one on order so will review in more detail when I've had a chance to play |

Have you tried it? First impressions are it is totally pathetic. There isn't a single (as in none, 0, zero) F7 sample programs available. Creating a simple project: void main(void){ for(;;) } gives multiple compilation errors. With Coocox I had a basic port of the Micromite Basic working on the F4 within 2 days and adding peripheral support was just simple slog work with lots of sample programs to use as the basis. Based, I accept only on a couple of hours work, This (F7 + system workbench) is a disaster . mbed.org is similarly totally and completely useless. If you can point me to a single example program for the F7 showing how to set up a UART I would be delighted as I could then get it to do something. |

This board is undoubtedly far beyond all our dreams and still has lot of future potential. ST rocks!!! Time to join the best from MM and uM platform and replace "lame horse". Awesome. Bo |

UPDATE I've given up It seems no-one is having any success with this board. The development environment is still too immature. The Support forum is full of messages from people having problems and there is no support forthcoming from anyone in STM I can only recommend that this is put on a "wait-and-see" watchlist. Don't invest at the moment unless you have a full Keil or IAR licence or you are an Eclipse guru prepared to put in significant slog work |

I gave STM32 system workbench brief try but gave up pretty quickly. (Target was a '411 Nucleo.) I've had more success with Visual Studio Community 2013 and VisualGDB. Still fighting to figure out libraries and includes but at least blinky wasn't too tough... Visit Vegipete's *Mite Library for cool programs. |
