Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

I have created some worksheets to use when planning/laying out a project using the Explore 64 module. It is basically a list of the pin numbers along with a key that describes their capabilities and a place to write down what is connecting to it and any other notes you might add. Hopefully it will be useful when planning what connects where in a new project.

At the moment there are 2 worksheets, a blank one and one for using with a ssd1963 display as shown in the examples in the uM+ advanced features manual. They should print out on a single sheet of a4, letter might need some tweaking to get on a single sheet. They have been created using Google docs and I am sharing them from my Google drive folder. Use, copy and share if you find them useful.

MM templates

Enjoy,

Thanks MMAndy. I followed the example in the Advanced Features manual, but your right about pin 14. I have updated the sheets to use pin 18 for touch select and have posted a suggested change in the beta thread.

Also, Pin 22?

http://geoffg.net/Downloads/Micromite/MMPlusIssues.txt

Issues: - Pin 22 on the 64-pin Micromite Plus will be unavailable whenever MMBasic is configured for the SSD1963.

-------------------------------------------------------
"if not present display will use 3.3v for backlight"

This statement might confuse a new bee.

You cannot drive the backlight with the USB +5V but with an external 5V supply.
Also, if you try to use the on-board 3.3 V regulator out with the max. of 250 ma. you
could also have problems?

Edit ...
Power Consumption MM+ / keyboard, TFT 7" display:

MicroMite+ running: 77 ma. - 80 ma. @ 100 Mhz
Keyboard: 100 ma. @ 5V
7" Display Electronics: 100 ma. @ 3.3V
7" Display Backlight: 330-620 ma. @5V 10% brightness 133 ma. and 100% 433 ma.

I've added a note for pin 22 and updated the 5V note.
