That sounds a good idea. BTW for anyone else who's interested (well, it's possible), I didn't mention the datasheet (now up to rev Q) says that a few parts of the programming operation need longer delays, some a lot longer. John |

Hi all, I think it's time to say thanks to all of the involved people (Jim, PeterM, Robert, Jean, ...)! ![]() Today I flashed a MM2 using MBs (Jeans) 16f1455 programmer (I hope he will give it a better name soon ![]() Perhaps Jim will some days consider his nice program for a genuine 16f1455 mode to expand? One wrapper for all the pic32prog programmers. Michael causality ≠ correlation ≠ coincidence |

It is actually a protocol and i ported it to a PIC16F1455, in Jim's program it would be 'using ASCII ICSP' It does have a name. :) A 'Microblocks U2SP'. :) Although the P in the name stand for Power and refers to the module version which has a added voltage regulator. https://www.facebook.com/Microblocks Still not available as my pcb assembly order did not work out. :( Microblocks. Build with logic. |

As it is the perfect MicroMite companion, for both Console IO and Flashing, I would propose it be called the MiteMate. Or alternatively to fit with the company name, the MicroMate. Cheers Chris P.s. I originally sent this yesterday but it showed up 8 hours late, must be due to the SEACOM Cable outages in Egypt. http://caroper.blogspot.com/ |

It is also a AtmelMate. :) It works great with that too. Got the flashin of a atmel328 working, but that is still in further test/development. I try to not be micromite specific. For marketing purposes (keywords) it is best to use 'Microblocks' followed by a productname. 'Microblocks MicroMate' has a nice flow and sounds good. Any royalties for me using it? Microblocks. Your companionship on the forum and the fact you were willing to share is of way more value than any royalty. I think I and other owe you, not the other way round :) Cheers Chris http://caroper.blogspot.com/ |

I wanted to reflash a PIC170 using TassyJim and the teams fabulous piece of software for a pic to program a pic. So I made a dedicated pcb with the 170 a usb to serial module plus a reasonable power supply to power the programmer as well as the target. It is not sub miniature, all through hole except for the Vcap and has all the pic pins brought out to pads so it can be used for other things. This is it. ![]() The usb to ttl is on the left the multi core on the right is to the icsp connector on the target. It is not powered by the usb but requires a separate 5V power supply. Cliff |
