Can anyone give me some clarification on these two products? CGMICROBOARD2 Micromite Board The first part of the description says "Micromite+ in a familiar form factor....". But it goes on to say "In summary the features of the Micromite MkII are:..." & the listed features indicate it is a MM2 not an MM+. Is this correct, or is it an updated product? And the MicroMite+ Explorer 64 , is it assembled or not? I did make an enquiry, but didn't receive a response, or it was lost (in those filters that don't bother with real spam). Alternatively, can someone suggest a local AU source of the Explorer 64. Opinions on pros & cons of either format would also be appreciated. Thanks Phil |

Some of the description is holdover from the CGMICROBOARD1 (44 pin micromite). The CGMICROBOARD2 is the 64 pin micromite. Micromites and Maximites! - Beginning Maximite |

As far as I know, the unit from Micromite.org IS fully assembled, tested, and programmed. I know Phil(WhiteWizzard), and he would not be selling it for that price if it were not assembled. I hope that is not being too presumptuous on my part - I am sure that WW will chime in and confirm that for sure, but I am 99.9% sure it is an assembled module. EDIT: I have not heard from WW for a while myself - hope he is OK. I sell the module on my website(go to the products page). It is the same price when you convert currencies. WW and I agreed on a price so that we would not be in competition with each other. My website says they are out of stock, but I can certainly build you one and send to Australia if you like - send an email to me via the website, and I can re-enable purchasing on that module just for you. ![]() It's currently disabled(you can't buy them via the website), as I am waiting on a batch of completed ones from the factory, and I don't take backorders - too easy to get inundated with orders that you then struggle to fill, and that causes delivery delays etc, and I don't like to keep people waiting. ![]() Smoke makes things work. From what I remember he is renovating a house. With that, a working wife and two kids he probably has his hands full. Geoff Geoff Graham - http://geoffg.net |

Interesting observation after ordering an Explorer 64 from micromite.org. It was pretty obvious the site is UK based, from the currency down to all the contact detail. What surprised me was the way the PayPal transaction appeared on my MasterCard. Does this indicate that there is a local point of distribution here in Australia? Cheers. |

Probably just indicates the time the Bank's system processed the transaction, expressed in local time and place of transaction. Bill |

Done a quick search but can't find an answer. MicroMite+ Explore 64 ICSP. Does the white mark indicate Pin 1 on the ICSP header? (Top pin when the printing is the correct way up). Presume it is, but would rather confirm it. Thanks Phil. |

Hi all, Just re-flashed the Explore Plus 64; IPE said all successfully etc, but not seeing expected result.
> print mm.ver 5.02 > Print mm.device$ Micromite Plus >
It reported 5.02 before I flashed it. Any thoughts? Thanks Phil. |

Thanks again Jim, I was expecting to see 5.2. Also can't see a sign on Banner. The reset button behaviour is also unexpected... Com10 disappears in Device Manager when I hold it down.... Reappears on release, as expected.... But is no-longer visible to Teraterm & I can't connect until I unplug & then reconnect the USB cable, then it reappears to Teraterm & the connection is fine. I've had it a few weeks, so it must have shipped with a beta. Cheers Phil. |

This is standard USB behaviour - nothing to do with the Micromite. The same would happen if you unplugged and replugged any USB/UART adapter. For serious development it is always better to use a separate adapter and then this won't happen, you will also see the Micromite banner on reset |

It's probably right but why not put in an OLD version, check it says so, then re-put in the new one. John |
