I performed a search and read the manuals but found no mention of this.

The baud rate limits for the 28 and 44 pin Micromites are in Appendix A of the manual. Basicly, COM1 is a hardware port and works upto a maximum of 282000 and COM2 is a software based port which tops out as 19200. Micromite Plus manual lists COM ports being rated as "over 1,000,000 baud"

Many thanks, I thought I'd read it somewhere. Could do with being stated more prominently, IMO. I almost dismissed the product when all I could find was 19200.

Oops! I missed that you are new to the TBS Forums... Welcome!

The 28 and 44 pin Micromites were easy to find, but I knew the Appendixes are dedicated to various types of communication (COM, SPI and I2C). For the MM+, I also came up dry until I did a search on 'baud' in the separate MM+ add-on manual.
