Does anyone know of a prototype board to suit this sensor, in a PWSON (6 pin) DMB PACKAGE.

One expensive solution is to buy an SHT21 on a board (on EBay for $9). Then heat up the board and remove the SHT21. Then put the HDC1080 on the board, the package and pin outs are the same.

Cheapest way: Do it 'dead bug' style.

Take an 8-pin DIP socket,lay the chip on its back and solder thin wires to pins. Maybe add a drop of glue or double sided tape to prevent the chip from moving around.

The dead bud method may cause a problem with the humidity sensor window on the top of the HDC1080.

There is a Gerber file layout available from Texas Instruments. Seed Studio have a US$9 offer to make a number of printed circuit boards. Is anyone interested in taking some of the boards, they will be around $4 each including postage.

On EBay now, an English company is selling an HD 1080 module with the IC mounted on a small board. It is more expensive than the Chinese modules, but eventually they will bring them out as well.

If you want a humidity, temperature and barometric pressure sensor in one unit, then then the BME280 is the best option. It also has the option of two different i2c addresses.
