Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hi All,

Just reminding people that there is a new forum that Gizmo has created for PCB related threads.

PCB FORUM

I only post this as I know that there have been many takers on the special TBS offer that was made on AutoTRAX DEX recently..

I have released a manual on "How to build a PCB use DEX" (31 pages with many diagrams) that has only been viewed 2 times (besides myself) since I posted it..

That seems a bit light as I had the impression there were many people waiting for its completion (maybe I was wrong)..

In any case the link to the thread that I posted the first completed release is available here DEX Demonstration.

I have a used a new area that Gizmo is setting up called the DOC REGISTRY. It is very good, I was able to post the 5MB demonstration Manual, the Parts.zip that contains parts I made/modified for the demo and the project file itself.

Worth a look even if you don't have DEX.. The 3D recreation of Geoff's BackPack is quite uncanny in its realism and closeness to the original.

Kind Regards,

Mick

EDIT***

Any Comments you may have on this Demonstration document I respectfully ask that you post in the PCB forum and not in this Microcontroller forum

Mick

I'm travelling interstate at the moment, Mick but I will be taking a closer look at your tutorial etc once I get back home on Sunday. Thanks for all your effort in putting this together.

Beautiful Jim, but why - pressure from the SO, or finally can't find parts? I don't suppose you used to rally around northern Tas in the late '60's did you?

@Mick,
I've had a couple of reads while you were developing the document Mick - up to about page 18 I think. I have to say it's very comprehensive and easy to read. I intend to go back and follow it all through with DEX soon, now that I've got that up. Thanks for all the work you've put into it.

Also, as you said, the DOCUMENT REGISTRY that Gizmo (Glenn) has set up is really easy to use and will be a great resource assuming people put stuff into it. I'm a bit surprised he hasn't put an announcement up yet as a sticky or something in the forum, but maybe there's a good reason at this stage. I'm forever reading posts where I think "that should go into the registry".
