Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Not suggesting a change, but just curious as to the choice of 38400.

Also is 115200 likely to reduce reliability with ESP8266's?

And for Jim, is MMchat happier with 38 or doesn't really care.

Thanks

Phil

A bit like Goldilock's porridge... not too fast and not too slow but just right.

Errr - that'd be 'not too hot and not too cold' Geoff. I know this because I've been recently boning up on Goldilocks with the grandchildren. Still, I'm sure we get your drift

MMChat doesn't care much.
If you have a rats-nest of wiring between the USB-TTL converter and the 'mite, you might have big problems with the faster rates.

If you go with the high rates, you might need to have bigger delays between lines so no real gain.

You've been boning up on Goldilocks paceman?

Yes, but I was trying for a humorous analogy.

Ummm, yes and no Grogs. Thought I might edit that word but that would have called attention to it.
