Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hi All,

One for the radio guys on here & others who have done a bit with wireless devices.

At the moment I've got 3 MM's setup all with ESP8266's on the console.
2 of the 3 also have HC-12's on Com1.

Two are still setup on breadboard, and one I've been building from scratch on some strip board.

Intention is for the 2 slaves to use the HC-12's to communicate with the master.

What I have is working so far, all on default settings; not needing to send data over much more than 20 metres, (this won't change much).

What I'm wondering is how much physical separation should I try & keep between the wireless devices?

In the breadboard they are under 6 inches apart & only occasionally notice an issue, but when I get to making things more permanent I'd prefer to be informed in advance.

Some will have seen the heat pump in other posts; 1 MM will live in there; essentially in a tin can with plastic grills; and the two wireless devices could be either on the circuit board, maybe a max of 3 inches apart;
of could be on short leads to separate them a bit more.

Would greatly appreciate any input.
Also assume I should need to use much less that maximum power as well.

Thanks

Phil
