This project started of as some help in hopefully solving a problem for a fellow forum member but like most projects it “expanded” a little, so perhaps it may also be of use or interest to others. 
This Windows network utility allows you to talk to both the variety of Micromites MX170 and Plus, lets you access the file and folder structure of the SD card, read and write text files, save and load program files. Transfer rate is around 60K file per min. It also provides Time update, remote restart of hardware and remote upload of program file and restart of system. The MX170 uses the excellent SD card drivers from matherp. There are three parts to the system ,firmware for the ESP8266 (running ESPbasic Ver3.08) Micromite firmware and of course the Windows Utility (tested on XP to Windows10) The Micromite firmware resides in the Library area (including the SDcard drivers for the MX170) occupying a total of 16K in the case of the MX170 , less for the Plus as there are no drivers needed. A small portion of code resides in the main program area where it is integrated into the users host program. The Utility and code is available here Codenquilts |
