Have tried both with the same result.

Different Options to accommodate the CD signal.

I know replacing it will probably solve the issue, but I sorta like answers & I don't mind taking a closer look.

I do have this:-




If I can get some advice on what to monitor I could look at a few pins when the OPEN command is issued.

Presume it's a case of when to trigger it, (off which pin) and roughly what rate to sample at;

and which pins to monitor.

It is specifically at that point that the touch is lost.

@ Phil23 - I used to use that bottled flux - every night for twenty years, and I remember it seemed to work well.....
Smoke makes things work. When the smoke gets out, it stops!
