Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Forum Index : Microcontroller and PC projects : Mantlebrot Set.

Just had the thought back to the DOS/Win 3.1 days.

8 Meg processor, & 640k of RAM, 800x600 VGA.

I had a piece of Mantlebrot software. (The name Chaos rings a bell).
You'd leave it running for hour, even zoom in on the interesting parts.

Has anyone writing something like that for the Micromite?

Not very useful, but I recall watching it for hours.

Cheers

Phil.

Edit:-

Actually found the original software, source seems available too.

Just won't run straight off under Win 64bit OS.Edited by Phil23 2016-09-19

Hi Phil,

really Mantlebrot or Mandelbrot?

Geoff has made a example for Micromites.

Regards
Michael

EDIT
"Mandel" is german and means "almond". Brot is german and means bread. Edited by twofingers 2016-09-19

Ok Twofingers,

I'm Pleading innocent on the grounds of TooManyFingers....

I did at least Google it right...

Sort of thought I'd seen something, but a search couldn't find it.

Thanks.
