Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Holy sh.....
That is what i am working on with my 'Microblocks' but more sophisticated.
The housing is the part i struggle with the most because in low/medium quantities they are expensive because the molds. So expensive it makes the rest irrelevant. I am now concentrating to use aluminum profile with laser cut caps and 'rings', which might be a solution.

Yes, i made several.
It kinda works when you need a few but it still needs some work to make it look nice.
The surface finish might look ok when it just comes of the printer but the small ridges will collect dust, grease (from fingers) and other dirt very quickly.
I found sandpapering the surface and a thin layer of 'Bondo' and paint will give a nice finish.
You would not want to do that when you need more then ten though as it takes some time.

The tibbo blocks make me think they are a "for grown ups" version of these kinds of things:

clearly, these are not your father's legos
