Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Jaycar is flogging a small LCD arduino-style, 240x320,
8bit parallel. But I can't see what controller chip it
uses, any one with more info ?

The Jaycar website has software and data sheets available to download under the Downloads tab on their XC4360 LCD page. A quick look at the data sheet indicates that the LCD is a 16 bit data type rather than SPI.

[It is XC4630]
The pinout gives 8 data pins in parallel + some control pins, says the
controller chip supports scrolling, but not a lot else

edit - ie not much further info.
I am guessing it is a generic ILI9341 which would be good Edited by chronic 2016-12-15

The display is ILI9341 parallel - I don't have a current driver for this and at that price it isn't competitive with the 4.3" SSD1963 which is fully supported by the MM+
