When a new member signs up, the forum asks them what country they are in, and what their real name is. If they enter a real name that obviously isn't a real name, ie BigBoy, or FansAreFun, then I dont bother putting them into the system. Also the forum uses a IP to country lookup, so if that results in a different country than the one the new member nominated, I will do a couple of checks. If the country detected is something like India, Russia, China, I just ignore the membership request. Otherwise I "may" send the person an email asking them if there is any reason, and sometimes this is because they were on holiday or something, in which case I will put them into the system.
