Like may of us I use MMEdit pretty well exclusively BUT I often want to refer to other code at the same time, I use to use Notepad+ for this purpose but I then discovered FBEdit (Free Basic Edit) which I now use which is excellent for the job. It has an MDI interface, tells you when code has been changed elsewhere (as in MMEdit if you have the same code open) and it also does a good job identifying Subs and Functions and allows you to jump to them. Looks like an interesting alternative. Might give it a try. I did start building a language definition for MMbasic in NotePad ++, but never got to complete it properly. And it didn't provide s list of subs etc. The other thing I've found useful for a secondary editor is MMedit2. Although it doesn't have full functionality I recall that I was able to updated the keywords list & at least have other projects open & correctly formatted. Phil |
