Since I can't get the windows version of pic32prog to work perhaps the linux version would run on a raspberry pi 3B, but I don't have a clue how to install it. Anyone here use pic32prog on linux and can help me install it? Max |

Slow down a little. I don't know squat about github and can't seem to find what/how to download. Do you have to compile the program? Wouldn't know how to do that either. That is why I asked for instructions. If I can get it on the pi I should know how to run it. Max |

pic32prog works perfectly on windows, the problem is that you are trying to use it with the pickit2 and none of us have used that for some time - if ever. Most of us are now using either an arduino or pic16f1455 to do the programming with pic32prog. Moving to Linux is just going to add another layer of complexity and unlikely to solve the real problem which is understanding how to use pic32prog with the older pickit. My advice, FWIW is to get hold of a programmed pic16F1455 or a completed Microbridge. Grogster or WW could both help with this. You can also use a Micromite to program a pic16F1455. See this thread or the article in Silicon Chip or Geoff's website |
