Last night my E-64 ceased to provide a serial port through its USB port when plugged into my laptop (Win7--don't think that matters). I rebooted the laptop--no difference. I plugged in the pickit3 this morning and successfully flashed the new MM+ v05.05.1. No USB serial came up, and there was no response on the console pins when I tried to connect with a USB/serial module (windows immediately assigned a serial port number). I reflashed v05.04.8 and still no serial port. With a usb/serial module with 3V3 plugged into the 3V3 pin on the E-64, 0V to GND, Tx to Rx (pin 6), and Rx to Tx (pin 58) (and nothing else), I get a green LED on the E-64, but no output when pressing the RESET button or Ctrl-C at either 38400 or 115200 baud. When I hit Ctrl-C I can see the red led on the Tx line on the usb/serial flash--but never any flashes on the Rx LED. Is there something else I can try?
