Yes I know freepascal,fpc.
I used it in Dos.A still working project it was done on ARM9+Linux.
Multithread management it is very powerful and pascal code not far from delphi.

I use Lazarus on Pi
it work very whell. it looks pretty much like VB. Graphics library is good, I2c and Rs ok, but I/O direct is more complicate than python or "C".
I don't say that here , but I think that, on PI, it is better than MM
