I get regular emails from a UK based company called Cool Components. Often there is nothing really worth getting, however, today's email has TWO products that MM users may find extremely useful. 1> An SPI Analyser 2> A VGA Terminal module ![]() I am in no way linked to this company - I just wanted to share with you all. Any non-UK TBS member interested, then PM me and I can help sort out shipping. WW |

The SPIDriver is open source. More details are here on GitHub. The author has also created an I2CDriver, currently in the process of being crowd funded. Visit Vegipete's *Mite Library for cool programs. |

Interesting modules. The VGA thing is US$28 when you convert from Pounds to USD. 1024x768 output resolution - not bad for thirty bucks. 5v tolerant serial @ 115k2 baud. No downloadable manual or anything telling you how to choose colours etc, unfortunately. I have emailed them asking for it. Some more details would be nice before I decide weather to get one or not. The MMx has built-in VGA, but eight-colour and lower resolution I think. For all we know, this module may well also only be eight-colour. Again, that's where the manual would be handy! Shame they don't have it right there for download... Nice finds, WW. Smoke makes things work. When the smoke gets out, it stops! |
