Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

I just downloaded 5.0501 from Geoff's website, used pickit 3 to load (all good), loaded a known working program and it does not run at all. Weird output and crash. Then downloaded the latest from the archive area 5.04.09 and everything runs fine and dandy. Can someone try the newest version from the website out? I tried downloading it twice with exactly same results. This is on a 28 pin uMite.

Just tried again and remembered something about option autorun on and var save being used in the program. So if I type in var clear in the command line then hit run, all is good. This is somewhat strange...

EDIT...

The var clear has to be typed in the command line right after programming mmbasic into the chip. Once that is done, the program runs. But if that is not done and the program is run, it will crash very strangely. Edited by viscomjim 2019-06-14

Good morning

If you look back to Jan 24 (ish) we had a lot of trouble with that. V5.05.01 has a problem which can be cured by your method.
Grogster was the last bloke to get caught by it
