Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

For non commercial stuff you can use PayPal friends and family - you'll find it on their site.  The charges are zero if you're not changing currencies. I guess they still might charge for currency conversion - I've not tried it for that.

Thought I saw something about them changing that too six months or so ago but I'll check it out for future reference.

All transferred anyway Brian - thanks a lot.

One of the good things I like about PayPal is the 180days dispute resolution window.
I haven't had to use it, so don't know how "good" it is...

Hi Trevor

I've been looking out for PM's but nothing from you.
Just noticed this post actually.
I assume you have the board.
Will advise tomorrow AEST about payment.
You could check how much PP costs for family & friends if you like.

HELP!!

I receive a 7" panel today, wired up an adapter board & loaded the firmware from the first post of this thread into a new board.
I have a separate 5V supply to the panel

Option List still comes up with LCDPANEL ILI9341_16 etc .

Is this correct or should another option be used?

I did try OPTION RESET but the the connection terminated & nothing changed.

I do get vertical lines on most of the display & backlight sort of works inversely.

Brian

Edit
Found OPTION LCDPANEL DISABLE which worked as did

OPTION LCDPANEL SSD1963_7_16, LANDSCAPE
OPTION TOUCH PB12, PC5

but still nothing happening.

Edit 2 Did another reset. GUI TEST LCDPANEL works

Progress at last.

All good.

Thanks to all.  Answers in the threads if one reads them correctly & thoroughly

This is a feature

Basically what happened is that before you did the disable you sent the ILI9341 initialisation codes to the SSD1963. This confuses the be-jabbers out of it and stops it working. Unfortunately the PCB I/F doesn't have a display reset line I can waggle in firmware only the main CPU reset. So until you do a physical reset the display doesn't respond.

Ok, understood.
Changed to RLANDSCAPE. Working fine.
Now to find a use for it

BTW, what's the latest firmware version for the F4?

Thanks Peter for your work here.

Brian.
