This is the Andonstar cheapo, less than £40 from most dealers. It's mono only, of course, and not really usable as a production unit but it's within the reach of most hobbyists. There's a decent enough amount of space for soldering unless you really want to zoom right in. Note that the stand shown is far better than the other version which uses a knurled cylinder to raise & lower the head. Obtainable from several places on Amazon. That's the software that came with it. I have another program that's on the other computer - I'll have a look next time it's running. It's a bit nicer than this prog, but I just needed something to install on the laptop. :) I like using this nice big display with one of those tiny 8W USB soldering irons from ebay. The tip is actually small enough to not fill the display... -- Mick Mick Zilog Inside! nascom.info for Nascom & Gemini Preliminary MMBasic docs & my PCB designs |

The nice software that I've used is for the Vividia Ablescopes. It's available for download from their web site: http://www.vividia-tech.com/download.html It's much more professional altogether, although update speed is still restricted by USB. -- Mick Mick Zilog Inside! nascom.info for Nascom & Gemini Preliminary MMBasic docs & my PCB designs |
