Grogs, All, Interestingly when I did my applied Mechanics course (way back when I had hair) we studied Pneumatics, We used Boolean arithmetic to calculate a design for a system. I dare say that could also be used as a computer. All very interesting but any way of storing a 0 or 1 could be adapted to be a computer.. Kind Regards Mick PS. I dont think anyone has actually mad a Pneumatic computer before so you could get listed in the Guinness book of records. Err, Actually, I just asked doctor Google and it seems Pneumatic Computers have been around for years.. Well, cut off my legs and call me shorty. You learn something every day. The Valve body in an Auto Transmission was something I could never get my head around. Valve Body Pretty easy to ignore though, given the fact that it looks like a brain.... Cheers. |
