Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

My cut and paste of the spec for the chip seems to have contained something that the board rejected and killed the post.

Can't remember what I wrote now

Basically this chip is an opto-isolator with a halfbridge output capable of 2.5A source or sink. Perfect for isolating the uP from any higher voltage peripherals you want to drive. Motors, LEDs etc.

Tsk, Tsk.

This is why I always compose under Simplenote. I can start the post on my PC and finish later on my phone/tablet and the composition doesn't mysteriously vanish.

But this is a   find and perfect timing...many thanks, Pete

Thanks for the Info Peter,

Looks interesting, I have bought some to have a play with.

I don't think your original post is totally lost as the Number of REPLIES is out by 1.

Kind Regards

Mick

Hi Mick,

I totally missed the "I have bought some to have a play with"

Had a look at the data sheet and picked up on the fact that they require bypass caps.

Regards,

Craig
