Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

The IDE is Windows but there is also an emulator for testing/development.

It is also possible to have the app running on the Android device whilst single-stepping through the code on the PC. Variable values can be monitored by placing the mouse cursor over the name. Variables can be modified without interrupting program execution. Logged, debug messages are also displayed on the PC monitor.

Another cool feature is the "Designer" which simplifies the laying-out of the UI, either directly on the device or the PC-emulator.

Apparently, on-device programming is possible but I have no experience with this.

" Download the zip and before extracting it unblock it by right clicking
on it in File Explorer, selecting Properties and checking Unblock at the
lower right of the General tab otherwise the CHM help files will need to
 be individually unblocked. "

" File Explorer " is Windows , right ?
God Bless Bill Gates , but he ' s certainly pervasive : )

W10 = Windows 10 right ?

All I am getting at is that Windows has become such a standard .
Even other OS's assume a Windows machine for flashing USB's etc .
It would seem ( to me ) that an Android Basic should be able to
be downloaded and installed directly onto your Android TV box .

That would be RFO-Basic. AKA: BASIC! (with the exclamation)

RFO: Richard Feynman Observatory

This is a very capable interpreter that I also have experience with. It is ridiculously easy to use and lots of fun when coupled to a MCU via Bluetooth.

Mougino offers a version of the "920 Editor" for more convenient on-device code editing.

Groovy !
If I could just find an easily installed (onto a TV box)
version of Android that doesn't act like a telephone .
