Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hello forum.

I have just posted a small set of MMBasic functions to test a date/time for if it should have a DaylightSavingsTime component added to it.

As written, it works in the UK (BST), but you should be able to tweak it for your own flavour with little difficulty.

http://fruitoftheshed.com/MMBasic.Function-to-Test-a-DateTime-to-see-if-Daylight-Savings-should-be-applied.ashx?NoRedirect=1&NS=MMBasic

I tend to run all my clocks in GMT (UTC) but when i need to display a time for a human it's nice not to confuse them (and me) so now its easy to cater to both the system and humans with nice times

Enjoy
