@blade,

Need some more info mate,

... what did the program do?
... I a assuming Colour Maximite 1 and 2 (mm1 and mm2)?
... what is the program you envisage using the code for?
... how does PWM fit in with that?

Glad to assist if I can with more info.
Doug.

Have a look in
fruitoftheshed  and seach for PWM. There is a program there PWM.BAS but it has no comments at all and is pretty obscure as to what it dows.

yes that is the code i found.it has  3 voltage reference  inputs for power rails of the unit  ..

it has adjustable mark space ratio
as well as frequency..but the  min and max adjust  values i am not 100% certain of and dont know..

like it will output in text  on the three voltage inputs..to the screen ..

i have an mm1 and  have dug it out of my junk box but  where i got it from  i a dont remember..i been sorting out my gear..i`ts a long story..i was wanting more functionality out of it like maybe some graphics  gauges on the screen as well as the text..i  seen the latest silicon chip mage and realized that the mm1 was in  with my junk when i finally found it..so i started to look for codes and stuff..

it does not work there is no voltage coming out of the regs on the board,,it has strange regulators..i have no manual  for it either,,so i am just going to order the mm2 next month..i have other ideas for using one of these as well..but the mm2 is quite different from the pics i am seeing..with respect to the mm1..from the pics i see of the mm2 it  looks like i would have to put the  cro over the  gpios.i dont have  the magazine yet..for themm2..but  time will  turn out maybe some really great  projects to use it for..i also dont know if the  code matches  up ..or is compatible..

is this of any advantage to you guys..

I'll have a look at PWM.BAS and try to work out what it is doing as well as converting to CMM2 and adding comments,

just to clarify - are you thinking of using a CMM2 to control the power supply of a tesla coil?!

this does not bode well for the life of the CMM2...

cheers,
rob   :-)

sorry i should have added more detail..and no sepeerate supply are required my aim is to  program it to  make music mostly ,,i have seen it done  before but  only video clip`s  showing  it  in action not exactly shore if  the color  maxi mite2 can do it at all but i have  other prospects but this was my firs   aim project 4 now ..and if i can get somebody to re-code the  program above or even a different  program   from my  first  thoughts ,, making it more versatile  as a pwm display controller   "graphics on the screen wise" that would be great "..but one step at a time pls...thank you  so  isolate  via capacitors i  guess or whatever  may be suggested maybe an small isolation transformer in some  manner may be worth looking into....output wise or with some method you guys do the stuff way better than me if it was linux  based but it is not  or is it even capable of linux.of some degree..???.i have to  get my hands on  some audino books  i did have some but only found one so far and it was not really of any advantage..

Hi Blade,
That Photo that you posted, though a bit hard to see, looks exactly like the Original Maximite. No colour Monochrome only.
It has two regulators on board one down to 5V then another down to 3.3V.
Input voltage is from 7v to 15v.
Geoff has a lots more details on his website Monochrome Maximite

Is this the type of device you are using, if so any standard audio output device will be ok  as an input to create sound.  I have built several that work OK.
The audio output of the CMM1 should be OK.
